Simple Von Prankh Barrel Helm, Thanks Mr Talbot

Post by Pitbull Armory »

Heres a Barrel Helm I just built from talbots patterns. Rofl I forgot the last rivet by the eyeslot before pics. They are the best on the net that ive found. They almost make armoring too easy. Thanks Talbot.

Take care

Simple elegance.

Do you use cold rolled steel?
I do not see evidence of the mill scale on hot rolled.

On my great helms I like to kick the front out more for nose clearance.

Thanks for the pics, your hammers never get cold do they?

Hi there Hal

Howdy Hal, Yes the helm is pretty simple. I would like to have the nose out farther also, The pattern came out like that for me on this one but ill extend the faceplate a little in the future. I dont love the profile on this one but it seems to fit me ok, and should fit the customer. I use cold rolled steel for all my stuff. No sir, I keep the hammer moving for sure.

Take care
