my pick for the final four..

Aengus MacBain

Henri

Havoc

And a toss up between Alexander and Koredono.

No particular order..

I am however gonna root for Havoc and Aengus for the finals. Both are long time friends.

Earl Marcus...you should cheer for my Lady wife and I! :)

As a member of the same household as I; I'm sure that is what your Lady Marguerite would suggest.

Plus, I have a forge in my garage.

Best wishes,

He seems to shake out towards the top each time. I have confidence that he will be the Prince one day, and i have high hopes it will be this time.

While I would like to see him as the King, I believe it's Etain as Queen that would be the most fun. They are both delightful people.

I do not think that you can overlook Sir Magnus Tindal, THL Thorgrim Skullsplitter or Sir Rowan.

I would actually remove at least two of them (myself included) and put in Tindal.

And there are a few other gentles that I think are also more likely to get into the final four than at least half of the gentles listed above.

Could be I'm wrong. But I'm not offering odds. Just my biased hopes. Everyone listed on my picks are people that I have fought and or Know. Call it rooting for the "home boys" if you like. I'm not an odds maker simply a guy hoping the best for the folks he knows and likes.

Hmm, interesting list this time around. :)

Just my personal opinion, but here are what I see as the top 4 for the semi finals.

Count Henri
Sir Magnus Tindal
THL Thorgrim Skullsplitter
THL Olafr Thorvartharson

My 2 dark horses, if they are on and having a good day, who can knock some of these guys out.

THL Havoc the Wild
Lord Gabriel Hawkes

Overal winner, I feel its Count Henri's to lose.

interestingly I heard a couple people were sitting this one out for various reasons and are on the list - also heard some were fighting that are not on the list. I'm not 100% sure everyone listed will be there day of the show.

I can say that their is no one on this list that I have fought that I didn't enjoy fighting so this is going to be a good list no matter who ends up victorious. Looking forward to getting back into Crown after sitting last one out.

Good luck to all those who are entering, see you on the field.

No love from the Dark one for AEthelmearc?

Thanks for the confidence in me Syr Finn. I'll certainly be trying to earn it. I'm not in it just for the semi's though! :)

here's my guess

Post by Duchess Tessa »

Ok, there's several people who will do really, really well or poorly depending on what happens right before crown and where their head is for the fighting. I believe there's a large pool in the middle that anyone of them could win, depending on who they draw, etc..

That said, I believe the final 8 will be out of these 10 people:

Rowan
Bear
Henri
Tindal
Otto
Aengus
Havoc
Thorgrim
Gabriel
Olafr

I believe this crown could see a major push by Bear. I believe her Grace Rowan will do either really well or really poorly, really based on her head space during the tourney.

My guess for the final four is:

Tindal
Rowan
Henri
Havoc

alternate based on how the pairings go is Thorgrim (who may surprise us this crown)

Finals:

This will depend on who ends up pairing in the previous round.. but my guess is Tindal vs. Rowan.

Henri has an advantage since he's done this before, but I don't think he's been training enough and I think if he has some hard fights, he won't have the endurance to go the distance.

I suspect that Rowan may fight hard and go far, if she doesn't overthink it before the day. If Tindal makes the final step to get his head straight, before this crown.. IMO this is his crown to lose.

I believe there will be some hard fighting and some really close matches. I believe a good portion do not, currently have the endurance they need, if they get stuck in a long bout. It's very possible to have a dark horse win out of this crown list. It has lots of good fighters, including a number that I did not list.. more because their head is not in the right place to truly make a hard push for the crown.

I believe this will be a day full of lots of good fighting and close fights. This will be a good crown to watch.

I also strongly believe that with one exception since I don't know one couple, that any of those listed on this list would make a wonderful king and Queen for us.. :)

Just wanted to jump in an wish everyone the very best at Crown, We will not be there unfortunately due to unforeseen work obligations (some days the real world wins - this is one of those days).

Best of luck all -

I'm routing for Vlad and then the home town boy Otto - nothing against anyone else as I think every one who has entered will serve the kingdom well and I REALLY wish I could be there.

Hi all.

This is dificult to do without the eight ball being in good shape. The Pirates messed with it a little too much. I guess they didn't like the future they saw in it...

Well, anyway here are some odds!

Count Henri d'Artois 7-1 I think that Henri is ready... again. I think I have said this before and hope that this time he proves me right. My luck hasn't been too great lately though, so I hope I am not cursing him.

Sir Magnus Tindal 8-1 Tindal has finalled a few times. I think he is ready to finish one off. This could be the one for that.

THL Thorgrim Skullsplitter 12-1 I believe that he will do very well, and with the right draw might be an outside winner.

THL Havoc the Wild 16-1 I like his name, so I always place him high, and I hear he is doing well.

Sir Aengus MacBain 18-1
Sir Kadan Chakhilghan 20-1
Sir Maghnus de Cnoc an Iora 22-1
THL Olafr Thorvartharson 26-1
Viscount Alexander Caithnes 28-1
Lord Magnus Jager 32-1 I still hope he becomes a Meister one day.
Sir Otto of Westphalia 35-1
Baron William Freskyn Murray 40-1
Sir Magariki Katsuichi no Koredono 42-1
Viscount Bear the Wallsbane 45-1

OVER 50-1

Duchess Rowan de la Garnison
Baron Vladisla Nikulich
Lady Alexandra Caithness
Master Denys The Decadent
Lord Gabriel Hawkes
Lady Anlaith ingen Trena
Lord Drefan Ravenson
Lord Ardan Scot of Clann Scott
Lord Fridrich Flussmuellner
Lord Gabriel de Wenslagh
Domnall na nAmus

Enjoy!

I would love to see my friend Henri win for his lady Elena d'Artois . I met her at Pennsic last year and think she would make a wonderful Queen. Her smile lights up a room, best part is her smile lights up Henri ant that is fantastic to see as I highly respect him.
