Progress pic of my sallet

It's coming along, not without a few problems, The most important being that the bottom of the visor only covers to the bottom of my chin. I've been pondering this for an hour or so and think I will add a black painted grill of 1/2 by 1/8 steel bar for an additional 2 to 3 inches below chin level. That would be well within SCA rules.

That is comming along very nice. Have you thought about making a bevor to go with it?
