where do YOU get hit most?
as the title says :im curious also as to if this place changes when you use a different weapon :me i get hit alot in the limbs (arms more-so) but tend to get hit in the head or the legs when fighting with a shield (makes sense)

Leave the SCA better than you found it. Fight alot of cool people along the way.

I think it's left leg, tall with a 28" round... tempted to go 30" round.

SS- side of head. My shield needs to be strapped better.
Florentine -Never really get hit by florentine. No one in my area does it much beyond just playing around.
Greatweapon - Can usually hold up pretty well against great weapons. I'd say head though.

Happy to say my shield work is getting better- I get hit mainly in the head, upper left thigh/hip, right arm and shoulder. ... No shoulder armour, no tassets. Thank goodness I have a helmet, right?
*rarely* ever do I get hit in my left arm or shoulder, right leg, inside left leg, or either side of the ribs. (In fact, can't remember the last time for any of those. - wait, got hit in my right side of the ribs while legged a while back.)
But generally, that is really, really unusual.
My shield arm sometimes gets tired, and I drop it, which means that people hit me in the head. But, at least that part is well armored.

Well I suppose I don't know. I started fighting years ago, and got my W/S Auth, then didn't pick up a shield for over 5 years. Fought everything with a bastard sword, polearm, great sword, or 2W for quite awhile.
It might be how I hold it, or how it's strapped. For comparison, a M16 weighs 8lbs. Which doesn't seem like a lot. People can get tired holding 8 lbs at arms length for extended periods.
I tend to start the day out fighting open form with the leading edge of the shield out in front of me, as the day wears on, holding that shield out at arms length tends to tire the arm out. So then it gets lazy, resting on the left leg. Whap! Crap! Didn't lift the shield in time.

I was gonna say "My brother in law".
He's a Squire... just not mine. In previous games of make believe, dressing funny, and beating people, I used my knight. The honest answer though has to be "Near my groin"
Think maybe I talk too much smak...
