Re: Fine-woven Neck Chainmail

Erik Schmid gives the i.d. for the rings of the neck of Wallace A9 as 3.29mm/0.13" and the larger rings of the mantle as 5mm/0.197". The wire in the collar is roundish, while the mantle links are flat. Thank you Ernst. I wish I could say I'd be making it relatively accurately (planning on using but...

Re: Fine-woven Neck Chainmail

A bit late to the thread, but does anyone know the inner diameters for the two ring sizes? I've always liked this piece and wanted to make my own version of it.

Any info would be appreciated.

Not to detract from the actual armour or anything...but damn that is a sweet stand! I especially love what looks like a bolt as an ear piercing.
Thanks for taking the time to take the pics and post them. I appreciate it and I hope it wasn't too much of an inconvenience.

Re: Dusting off the cobwebs

That looks really nice, even un-finished, and that besagew is very pretty. It's like a little teaser of things to come. Can I just ask though, if you have any info/pics of that armour stand by itself? It sounds like it's quite articulated and looks fairly solid. Good luck with it, I'll echo the sent...

It clearly wasn't a foolish request that she asked you, and I'll tell you why, she must've known she'd be fighting the boys back with sticks and she felt she should be adequately dressed to make it look as epic as possible. :D

Re: Amateur artist looking for tips on drawing mirror armor

Off the top of my head, the piece covering the minotaur's fetlocks looks like it would be a bit restrictive and the actual point of the shoulder is left bare (going off first pic where the arm is slightly visible). Ah... so if it's parted in the front, as in my drawing thus far, it doesn't actually ...

Re: Pheonix Dawn COP: Lanterns and Antlers!

Ditto what Swete said. With the amount of detail on the armour coupled with the embroided cloak, it looks perfect. In my opinion, with the second pic you posted, it would look more intimidating without the wings. I can imagine a lone, solitary figure with a quiet confidence facing off against a hord...

That is seriously cool. I don't normally post much in classifieds, the main reason for doing so now, is just to find this thread easier when I've got some spare cash.

Oooh, sexy legs.

It's such a small detail, but one of the things I like most, is that you used the lower leather trim on the poleyn as a strap.

Just out of curiosity, what do you dislike about that suit? I personally don't mind it, apart from the rather cylindrical helmet.

I don't think I've seen enough armour to have seen a whole suit that I dislike.
