Re: 2" Mandrake tips suck and you all know it

I remember all of the helm penetrations and eye injuries we had from the 3" tips which is why we changed to these safer 2" tips for fibers because we know they hit harder than rattan so reducing the area they contact with will prevent the tip from collapsing and getting into helms unlike those 3" ti...

Re: What's happening with SCA spears these days?

When did we forget how to make a 2" tip? We can make a 2" tip for a 7'6" 6lb glaive but are unable to make a 2" tip for a 2-3lb spear???? We can make our own 3" tips but 2" tip require you to buy 1 specific tip from 1 manufacturer....

No talking in tourney fights it takes away from both and messes with their heads. You have not won a fight until your oponent is not swinging and blocking until that happens keep trying to hit them HARD.

Looking for a pic of a helm from a manuscript...i think

I am looking for a picture i saw (i think somewhere on the AA) from a manuscript of i think a Basinet with a bar grill with vertical and horizontal bars. Not sure if it was a visor or not. I know this is rather vague but my search fu has failed looking for any suggestions. Thanks
