Re: Agincourt 2015 Agincourt SCA Event- IN planning stage
Hugh,
There's a small pack of us in Chicago that are in the planning stages of shooting in France.
Are you on the book of faces? I can add you to our group there.

There's two parts to the event. So yes, you are correct on both parts. July and Oct.
The shoot is in July. A bunch of my chaps are planning on hitting that.

Sir Talbot, I realize that this is an attempt to round up some cash, but you wouldn't happen to have any bad, I mean really bad, breastplates? I'm doing a bit of practical science with my 110# warbow, and I'm looking for a shaped breastplate for penetration testing. If you're not interested, I'm AOK...

Master Thomas,
Master Robyyan crafts his own chapes as well. He's made his own jig for the hammering of brass.
Of course his aren't for harness, but I'm sure the technique is similar.

Re: Anyone wear Historic Enterprises joined hose?
I've a few pairs of joined hose.
4 from HE
1 from RC
The RC hose are now worn with my harness, as I prefer the HE wool and fit with the rest of my soft kit.
I've snaps on my FB page. Once my wife was told by a third party, that she would like to "Lick my hose" due to the good fit.

It's a shame I live rather far. I shoot 110# to varying degrees of success. I can usually be found at PW and GW. Use the large muscle groups, chest/back to draw not just your arm, as the arm is weak, and tires easily Killkenny has the right of it And it is more technique than muscle, but the techniq...

Re: 15th C. Thugz! Show us your kit!
This is my hard kit at a library reading program demo. I had been armed by a group of 6-11 year olds. The harness, minus the helm, was craftfed by the now retired/defunct Mercenary's Tailor, Allan Senefelder. The helm is an AB helm that doesn't fit correctly. http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6002/59044...
