AR barrels can be anywhere from 8" (SPR) to 24". So no, its not the same length as an AR barrel. SLiP2000 is a high viscosity lubricant that won't drip away I had a firearm coated in it over in a corner of my place to see how well it would do. There was no surface rust it ran a little as it was standing up but no surface rust.
