Galleron, beware of the decadent pleasures of kicking persons in the nuts after they have clearly shown themselves to be worthy of having said nuts kicked. Sir Vitus, You've said may things over the years I've perused this forum. Some I agreed with, some, I have not. I won't get into the latter, as...

You can be all upset about it if you want to man. I said to follow Hughs advice. Fair enough, maybe from reading many of your previous posts, it colored my perception of this post more than was really there. Honestly, this and the previous post are the Singlemost middle of the road, evenhanded CA t...

Herewald the Wake?
Hey can anyone point me at a good layman's book of the legend of Herwald?
I keep seeing the occasional reference to him, and it's kind of irritating that I don't know his tales yet.

I think a button option would be a cool potential extra, but that the stitched would probably be your bread and butter in the long run. That being said, I think split and button as an extra with a few button options would be the best way of doing that. Might be able to team up with another SCA vendo...

How wide were streets at this time? Not, I assume as wide as a modern 2 way street.Steve Hick wrote: The First Chapter – (Fighting) to the front on a moderately narrow street
Just curious, as knowing that would give a better idea of how big an area this is designed to be used in.

Well, the saga's mention the atgeirr, the kesja, and the bryntröll, amongst others, which are all more or less translated as "halberd" So, a dark age weapon, used in 2 hands, and we have no idea what the hell it looked like. They could be completely different weapons, or one weapon with a lot of po...

how well does riveted aluminum hold up to fighting? A friend of mine got the butted ring one. Spend the extra and get the rivetted. He lost more rings just putting the thing on than anything else. Ring money
Hey, where can i find some detailed info on Ring money? I think it might be neat to have some kicking around as a native Irish guy during the Norman invasion.
While I've seen some photo's, I've never gotten any detailed info as to size, scale, weight, and materials of them during that period.
