Those aluminum arms might suit me for some hidden armour I'm putting together. What size arm are they made to fit?

Aesyr Metalwyrks makes some very nice helmets.. the Phrygian I've drooled over for years now mostly because of the top (and I only wish it was blackened Stainless) is this one from knotwolf and would swap the leather drap for a chain. http://www.knotwolf.com/mambo/images/stories/helmets/E-6.jpg Rey...

I love the 1340's look. I'm rather fond of the 3/4 length sleeves over the vambraces setup. Save up for the brass hardware you'll need for the belt. Gotta have that bling.

I sit when I'm working on something that requires fine motor functions and/or is time consuming- leatherwork, intricate cutting, painting, etc. My bench has a barstool in front of it. But I built it ~four and a half feet high, so that I can clamp something in the vise and get the advantage of streng...

Re: Please G*d, No knee fighting in C&T.
"testicoli" hee hee hee... Yeah, knee fighting is dumb if you're trying to make it look realistic. But, as Diglach points out, it is a sport penalty not intended to necessarily mimic the reality of a sword fight in any way. It's all a matter of perspective. Thus is illustrated the rift that exists b...

And that's your call, to make for you. It's not appropriate- nor respectful- for you to tell anyone else that they also should feel as you feel, rather than hold a contrary opinion. And again I say that cuts both ways. If your point is that I am being disrespectful by pointing out that it is disres...

Re: Alternative to Madu
It is an odd thing that people feel that they get to tell other people what is and is not disrespectful. That sword cuts both ways. Personally, I'd hold my faith more precious than the symbols that ended up attached to it. On that note, I'm going to become a Rabbi Ninja with Diglach. Our weapon of ...

Protein, protein, protein. Your muscles are starved and it's time to feed 'em right. Turkey, chicken, fish, eggs, take your pick. Accent with some whole grains & veggies. Drink tomato juice or V8, or eat a banana to replenish electrolytes. Eating less salt when you're not exercising will make you re...

Or perhaps like cricket which was devised during Saxon or Norman times by children living in the Weald in south-east England. The game of cricket has a known history spanning from the 16th century to the present day, with international matches played since 1844 and is now played professionally in m...

These reviews are useful and it's good that Heath posted it. Every seller will have orders go bad, for any number of different reasons. It happens to everyone eventually. The fact that someone, somewhere along the way screwed something up is not necessarily a reason to write off a seller entirely. T...

I have one (the exact Del Tin you mentioned) I may be willing to part with. It comes with a black scabbard & sword belt It is sharp. Some fool I bought it from sharpened it with an angle grinder, but I massaged it nicely with a set of files and it looks & feels good. Still sharp. If sharp is bad, yo...

Swansen, your elbow cop fans are big and shapeless. You could cut them down and rivet rondels over them for a much improved look. I turn to effigies to get a good idea of the flavor of 14th C style. Further, the vambraces & rerbraces are too big in circumference, and are deformed in shape as a resu...

I just keep watching the BoN fights with their steel weapons, open visors and complete lack of grilles, and wondering where they pile all the dead bodies. It gives me perspective in discussions like this one.

*chokes* Ab gets $150 bucks for ANY of his helmets? I know! I'm in the wrong business. I could shit a prettier helm than anything A/B has ever made. It really goes to show you that you get what you pay for, and that goes beyond just the physical product itself. A/B is a waste of good money, even if...

Re: Friend looking to complete a Blankenshield style harness
So ... now that we've gotten "LOL Blankenshield" out of the way (and I think possibly totally demoralized the armor owner, who's lurking along), does anyone have interest in or suggestions towards the creation of arms, legs, and a gorget that will compliment the harness? Think of a suit of real arm...
