Widest line is roughly 1.25, but it's a diagonal from center bar to the corner of the nasal. Outer circumference at brow is 28 inches.
My 24.5 grape will fit in there with a 1/4 inch padded liner, and have had it on folks with heads down to 21.

It is painted. There are hand painted designs on the cheek plates.
Should the new owner prefer a different design, or bare stainless, a wire wheel will strip the paint in about half an hour or so.

That skull is a tank. The eye bars and nose bridge are 1/4 round bar, as standard. But are arched, and of shorter length, so they cannot move as much as a normal grill bar would. There is nary a flat surface on the skull itself. Everything is a curve or an arc. The rivets are 3/16ths, swelled into 7...

It is not padded, nor strapped. I like to leave those to the end owner. 9.5 x 8.5 at the brow. Back to grill at tip of nose is 10.5 On a smaller head, say, 22.5-23 with more padding on the front, it would work for street glasses. On a 23-24, it should be fine with RecSpecs. Ok, the first is a conical with an aventail. Mild Steel, welded top. 12g top, 14g back and sides. 1/8th x 1/2 flat bargrill (Riveted, but is a tank.) Aventail is 14g butted galvy.
