Re: Merctailor & Mad Matt armor for sale.

The arms & legs are 14th century. The picture shows one arm and one leg. If you like, I can take a picture of the set. Right side are what the legs look like, left side represents the arms.

Re: Moving Sale: one week only!

Quick update: I've got some shipping labels printed & the first round of goodies are going out this afternoon. I'll have shipping info out as well. I'm trying to post new stuff, but none of the photo hosting sites I use are working right now for some frustrating reason. The other blunt swords I ment...

Re: Moving Sale: one week only!

I want to say these are the Gen 2 (or three?). They've got the triple-fullers that drops the weight & makes the longsword (but not the arming sword) more flexible. Definitely NOT the Tinker, or I'd be charging more.

Re: Moving Sale: one week only!

@Simon: Shipping is usually around $20 (give or take) for parcel post shipping because of the box size. If that's pushing your "reasonable" button, PM me your shipping info & I'll go get them boxed up. News: Mad Matt arms & legs are back on the market! Coming soon (after I get off work): Sticks & st...

Moving Sale: one week only!

I'm getting ready to move. I need to lighten my load. Since attempts to get into SCA haven’t panned out, I'm lightening that load first. Also, thanks to a strict regimen of intense physical exercise & good diet, quite a few things don't fit anymore. Keep an eye on this thread, as I'll be posting stu...

Re: Shipping Preferences: USPS Tracking

On the receiving end and the shipping end, I have never had a package go missing when shipped via USPS with or without a tracking number. I consider them supremely reliable and am always disappointed when a seller doesn't offer them as a shipping option. UPS, on the other hand: I was actually in my ...

Re: Yard Sale (now with price drops)

Hi Halvgrimr, They are the mediums, but I will say that there's quite a bit of play for customization. Right now they're strapped to fit pretty snug over my padded gloves and the thumb and mitten completely overlap about an inch or so when I make a fist. If you're looking for a small, I wouldn't get...

@Uneg: It's definitely the regular size and not the large. There's only room for about 1/2" of "the padding of your choice." @Pitbull: Sadly I can't do trades right now. Re: Yard Sale (now with pictures)

Notes on gorget:

My neck is 17" and it fits with room to spare, which is good, because I recommend some cloth under it. When I originally bought it, it had some sharp corners that I rolled over to help lock the back in place and to keep the blood inside my body where it belongs.

Re: Stabbing quillions

To the question of realism: the whole thing is a weapon, not just the blade. The quillions are good for breaking bones, punching quillion-shaped holes in helmets, and a variety of extraordinarily painful locks and disarms. The pommel is a pretty convincing blunt weapon: side effects include, but are...

Ushumgal, Don't avoid advances, they are industry standard--especially for nonfiction books that are pitched to a publisher but potentially incomplete, due to research needs. The idea is that you enter a contract and get an advance that is supposed to help you make time to finish the project. In fac...
