i am looking at buying a 50 lb little giant power hammer . has anyone used one for dishing ? what was your experience ? what dies do you use ? what technique did you use? i am suffering from chronic tendentious and i am looking for an alternative to save my elbows. any advice would be great. cheers,...

i have this very nice composite vendel helm made by me for sale. heat treated and tempered 4130 in 12 and 14 g. chemically blackened with 43 plaques by raymonds quiet press. will fit up to a 22 1/2" head. $1500 obo.

i have some from luther anshelm at anshelm arms and armor . they are fantastic heat treated and tempered 4130. maxim suprovich at wild armoury is in the ukraine and he has done amazing work for me......

you can rent or buy "steel deck" in just about any configuration from a film or production rental house and build a wooden skirt to hide the modern construction. easy to build and take down.....http://steeldeck.com

just got back from the doctors, got a cortisone shot for my tendenidous . how do i hold my hammers so i do less damage to my body. any help would be greatly appreciated .

i bought a set of the 4130 you finish cased grieves, and they came out great. i just squeezed the grieves , trimmed to fit, rolled the bottom edge, added hinges, heat treated and tempered. not an absolute beginners project, but easy enough. luther has done all the hard work. buy with confidence ! ch...

i like liqiutex latex paints, any artist quality latex paints will work. i also use enamel paint pens for some line work and metallic enamels for gilding. some of these will react with the enamel clear coat, to reduce any undesirable reaction i put down a couple of light coates of rustoleum crystal ...

muttman- don't sand it ! it is ready to paint. the roughness will come when you clear coat it. rustoleum makes a brush on crystal clear enamel,i use 3 heavy coates with finish roller. no more roughness.

insane irish- i brush the glue on with a heavy coat on the face of the shield and the back of the canvas.wait until the glue gets tacky, then smooth the canvas carefully over the aluminum. spray glue works , but not quite as well. i have had decent results with both 3m super 77 and 90 . cheers, nich...
