Re: Wanted: Windlass Sword of Oran, or just the pommel

Do you have any images of what you are looking for?
I do have some pommels laying around, threaded 6mm.

Making one for you is more problematic, as my crafting time is pretty much spoken for.

But who knows?

Re: WTT/WTS: Kettle Helmet for other helmet

Is this still available?

And if so, what style/type of helmet were you looking for?

I have several unfinished helmets lying around, and might be able to make what you want.

Re: Anyone looking for a stainless corrazina kit?

This pattern? And by "kit," do you mean just the cut flat plates, or cut + drilled, or fully shaped? Yes, this pattern. And by kit, I mean all plates are cut, edges rounded off, and deburred with edges smooth as butter; and all dished/shaped. I do not drill the holes, as the rivet pattern can vary ...

Ford.david.w wrote:How much would such a kit run?

The last one I sold was $300 plus shipping.

Stainless has gone up in price for me in the last few months, so I might have to charge a bit more.

I need to sit down and figure it out on paper.

Still a bargain for the work involved.

Anyone looking for a stainless corrazina kit?

I have enough 18 gauge 304 stainless to make a corrazina kit in size 46 chest. Its been beastly hot, so it could be weeks before I can make it up- but is anyone in the market for one? I use Doug Strong's pattern, enlarged, and usually add some extra kidney plates to expand the width...Though I make ...

Helmets..what are people looking for?

I have several Rough from the hammer mild steel helm halves from Master Cet. Most are for about size 24 inch, and one is a 25. (The 25 is a round top.) Two or three are back points, the rest are round tops. I have no idea what style helms I should turn these into. The backpoints could become either ...

Re: Small/medium knives for sale.

Since these have not sold, I have to assume theres not much demand for this style of authentic small seax anymore.

So I'll entertain reasonable offers, and these will be the last of this style I'll make for sale.

Yojimbo wrote:Are the seax types in the album available ?

The album was only supposed to show the one pic of the group of small knives.

I'm not sure why its showing the entire album.

The seax was made for a trade, and has long been sent off to it's owner.

Tomorrow is the last day to buy if you need to be certain of getting a knife in the mail before Pennsic.

After that, I can't speak for the speed of the US mail.

Also, if I forgot-

Rondels are very common on the elbow cops from this period.
(Dished round guards where the spades of later period elbow cope are placed.)

The problem right now for recommending armourers is that there aren't that many with actual web pages these days.
A lot of current armouries are on facebook, but have little or no other online presence.

Re: Vambraces! Preferably enclosed...

All right. Are you looking for vambraces with an elbow cop attached? Or articulated, with lames? For late 13th/early 14th, cops like soupcan or the smoother, slightly smaller type that led to articulated with lames seem to be what you are shooting for. The only real difference is the later ones are ...

Call it a helm kit maybe? Anyway. I started this as a learning project.
