Re: New Project - Medieval Trestle style Breakdown Camp Tabl

You could extend a tab on the two legs and make it a mortise and tenon joint in that first layer of the table, underneath the top layer.

@Raulin Arbor: So what's your plan for dealing with the really big shield guys who will be on the bridge? I used to be a pulling guard and one of my favorite things to do ever was blindsiding. I played guard in college...It was great to come around the line and see the end linebacker's ...

#1...you either got it or you don't. Which isn't always a bad thing, there needs to be people willing to go behind the psychopaths who just blasted big, gaping holes in the enemy shield wall and exploit the openings. We prefer the term "assertive forward movers." Wanna fight about it? s...

I would like to disagree with you on that. :D Unless, of course, you want to call me an exception to that comment. Actually, I was thinking of you and a few other guys as an exception. Charges require three things. 1. guts - willingness to rush a shield wall (you have that in spades Doorman 2. Tech...

Less folks charge in general around here, or hesitate when they do . . . I think the plastic barricades are the better looking of the plastic options presented so far. They at least have the cosmetic appearance of a wall. Round barrells look like...well...round barrells. Of course, the bonus is you can always hide really easily if you are wearing plastic armor already. J...

Re: Ambush Marketing and the SCA

Marketing requires some "truth" in advertising to be successful. If you make a "quality" commercial for the SCA, with "good looking" belly dancers, "period looking" fighting kits and people actually react to it favorably and show up, what kind of follow-up do you have? People aren't blind, they'll ...
