Re: Getting rid of 'fighter funk'
This stuff is fantastic, we use it at work all the tiem. I liked it so much i started buying it for home. Fighter gear is only one of the multitudes of things it will work on. Its a tad pricey but. Worth every penny. Godfrey http://www.amazon.com/SportSense-Odor-and-Bacteria-Spray/dp/B004H30IRQ/ref=...

http://www.fittrail.com/ is decent to break up the monotony if there's something available like it in your area. Don't get too crazy with any machines etc, you can accomplish just as much if not more with good old fashioned exercises and no extra machines or accessories. A good old fashioned push up...

Ive been using a Brig Gorge and Spagenhelm from James River for years now, Love them and recommend them to anyone. This is the only gorget Ive found that fit me perfect right out of the box. the helm is a freaking tank too. I wish you well and hope things turn around for you.

Re: Combat boots or bust.
Ive been wearing a pair almost exactly like these , every day at work since jan 16 1996. They are on their third pair of soles and still going strong. Good ankle support and light enough to wear for 24 hrs solid without adding much fatigue. If I happen to be training new guys on ladders etc, I alway...

Ive been using a 60# samick recurve for years now. Killed a lot of deer with it and use it constantly. Never de-laminated or had any issues. Take care of it and it should last a lifetime.

We use Sqwincher powder drink packets at work. I like the qwik stick packets personally because you just dump one in a bottle of water. They are fantastic for firefighter rehab on extended incidents. I get hot and tired at fight practices, but nothing like catching a job on a 90 degree day in full g...

Re: How do you deal with bruises?
See a doctor , anything less is dangerous to your health. Could be a simple bruised muscle, it could also be a clot or a dvt forming and anything in between. Take your health into your own hands and get it looked at. Most likely its something simple such as a regular old deep bruise, its the what-if...

Re: Blackening Aluminum?
An old job I used to have involved antiquing some items. On method we used for aluminum was to get those little carbon floaters from acetylene torches and rub them into finely sanded aluminum. We would then apply with a piece of rag and then cover with a form of spray poly. We also had this floor po...
