Re: Ceramic Beakers?
Give me a few days to poke through some of my sources. I'm in the last production rush for GW right now. Kick me if I have not answered in a few. There are four lobed drinking vessels made of ceramic, I just have so many pots running through my head right now it's all a blur. @ Karren: Humm I wonder...

Re: Visored Sugarloaf Helm with Patterns (Version 2)
The better a helmet contours to the shape of the wearer's head the better it will spread out the force of a blow hitting it. I'm looking to switch from cold forming helmet top halves to hot forming them using an electric kiln with a guillotine door . For ACL helmets the minimum for hardened steel i...

I just received an Azon Chain Mail Hauberk from Charles Alexander that I agreed to purchase from him. Communication was excellent. The product is exactly as described. LOL, I always look in backgrounds and I though that I "know" that warehouse/facility. Then I saw the name. The metal racks in the back where the kicker.
I've seen this helm, it is solidly made, and I can vouch for the seller.

Hey Ice are you missing an arming coif? We found one hanging on one of the tent pole when we dropped the tent. My Man at Arms dropped you a line about it as well.
Hope your trip home went more according to plan than your trip down.

Re: Cheap torches for spot heating
I use one of those weed burners to fire a kiln to 2380+*F (approx 23"X36" round). Ive used it to make some tent stakes by piling up some refractory fire brick into a make shift forge. So yes it will put out enough BTUs, but you will need to use it in conjunction with a kiln/forge/furnace if you have...

If you have an angle grinder use it with a cut off wheel. It only takes about a second or so. Otherwise linesman pliers, small bolt cutters, or even Wiss snips will work. Sometimes you need to take second bite closer to the pivot after an initial pinch depending on the tool or your hand strength. Bj...

Furniture repair shops, but you may pay as much there as if you had it shipped or even more depending on the shop. Right, I mean are the bearings clogging, or are the fibers embedding themselves on the surface of the wheel?

Humm, maybe you could putt fender washers over the bearings to keep the fibers out or are you talking about the surface of the wheels where they would make contact?

How about using a steady? I've seen them where the contact points are basically roller blade wheels. http://www.woodworkersguide.com/2010/04 ... eady-rest/ Start at slow speed and true up the area where the steady will contact first and then add the steady.

Mordreth you are of course correct, canvas is not a wall or deck and canvas may(or not) have a lower point of ignition(POI). That misses my point though. My point is that I cannot imagine that any company would knowingly sell a product that would lower the POI on anything that could potentially burn...

X-length drill bits should not be that cost prohibitive especially in smaller sizes (less than $20). Start the hole with a regular length and then switch. Even the big box home improvement centers should carry them. Leave the handle well over sized and rough because you will invariably be off a litt...
