Fantasy helm - pics and video!
Hey Here's my last piece! This was probably the hardest thing I've got to make because of the tight fitting required to make it look like a skull and not a big skull-shaped helm over the head, while having an articulated visor and moving jaw at the same time! The construction went quite well and I'm...

I tend to focus more on historical model, but still enjoy making fantasy piece , and to answer your question; Yes. Looking at historical piece and modifying fantasy to have similar "mechanic" is IMO needed as an exemple, here is my version of pauldron for a bad bad guy. http://home.armourarchive.org...

Munition grade milanese armour?
I have never seen pics of original milanese that are left rought from the hammer/blackened. Is it because I have not looked at enought pics, because the armour have later been sanded, or because it was very uncommon to produce such piece?
thanks
thanks

Xyphoid process (little bit of bone at the bottom of the sternum in the solar plexus area) - break it and a person will stop breathing. It can be done with a three finger thrust. I asked my GF who is in "physiotherapy" and she explained that it most probably would not stop breathing but rather pier...

VERY nice! How are you 'texturizing' the flat surfaces? I see the outside is dimpled but the inside is unworked on the lower plates. just planishing for effect? I Like It!! The pic make it appear flat but lower plate are lightly worked too, back have 1/8" inside, front 3/16" dished. thanks for kind ...
