try a JT7 torch from lowes or home depot. use a few soft fire brick to hold the heat and let her rip. works really well on small projects like knife blades and fittings

You may have to convert them to single phase motors but they are very robust machines, practically bulletproof. I know a lot of sewing plants ...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news; but you will have no luck cutting SS with oxy/ ac. I've always used a plasma torch and it goes thru stainless like a knife thru hot butter.

Earlier in this post someone made a referance to grinding aluminum on a bench grinder, If you use your grinder for this be very careful your wheel does not load up with powdered aluminum. You have been warned, I have seen grinding wheels EXPLODE when they get loaded with soft metals.

Not armour related but it definatly fits the subject. I knew this guy once who was building a deck at his house one weekend, he had quite a few too many drinks and sawed through two fingers while cutting a 2x6, WITH A HAND SAW. Talk about stupid human tricks.

You might try a pipe and fabrication company or a local welding supply in your area.Look for schedule 80 or better. Also if you have any friends working in some larger factories like processing plants or your local water plant you can try there. Good luck and welcome to the board.
