Re: Ursulmas

I would like to congratulate Duke Ibrahim Al Dimashqi of Artemesia for besting a field of 136 (best estimate right now) fighters this last Saturday. The final was Duke Ibrahim Al Dimashqi over Duke Skeggi Nyewcombe in 2 best 2 out of 3. It was a very hard fought and deep tournament.

Re: Ursulmas

I was just curious. Because one of Duke Skapti's former Squires (Sir Einar) told me that last time he won Crown he said that he was a little disappointed because he couldn't fight at Ursulmas.

I also understand that when you take on the responsibility your time isn't always your own.

I've heard this said before and thought it odd. Why is it a King can't fight in what technically is just a Baronial prize tournament?

I think that the caption may be wrong. I don't see that it can be the knights swearing fealty, as Duke Havordh is patently not from An Tir. Could it have been the HRM Ieuan was actually getting knighted himself? That would make more sense. I have seen other knighting ceremonies where the knights ho...

It really depends on what you want to do. Keep in mind the larger the shield you have the more likely it is that someone will yell at you to get to the front and join the shield wall where you will get to enjoy being stabbed to death by billion spears or getting run over by very large people.
