Re: FOR SALE: Haubergeon & Bascinet
New prices folks,
Bascinet - $225
Haubergeon - $450
Come and get 'em.
Best,
CHT
EDIT: Outer circumference is about 27.5". That's approximating it based on if it had a flatter visor - obviously, the piggy snout gives it more room in front of the face.

Re: FOR SALE: Haubergeon & Bascinet
I've confirmed that it's definitely 16g (95% confident I got this from Forth Armoury back in the day...), so I altered the price down to $300 accordingly.
Thanks for your counsel!

SOLD: Kettle Helm and Elbows
Dear all, Here are two more items I'm getting rid of: 1. Kettle Helm, made by Brian Price. The construction of this very piece is shown in "Techniques of Medieval Armour Reproduction", so it has a bit of 'historical value'. Will fit up to an XL head - I had to add some foam beneath the leather liner...

Here the mail obviously would only need to reach the wrist. If the price point were right, there might be a number of folks interested in having this as a readily available product.
Does anyone else on this thread find this design intriguing?

Hello Andreas! First, you'd mentioned that these "weren't what you'd ordered". What was it you did intend to get? Also, I'm wondering if a variant on this product might be something you'd be interested in productizing at some point. Below is a picture of some mail gauntlets made by my Alaskan friend...

Hi Ken!
I'd say convergence, given this is a staple of the upper level performers in this crowd and I'm sure they don't all come from épée fencing backgrounds.
Cheers,
Christian

Hi Sean, I saw your post on Facebook about this as well, but I generally avoid getting into debates there. Here are my thoughts: 1. The gentlemen here are good athletes, far better than myself. I have no doubt they'd hit me twice for every one of my blows in such a contest. I say this first to avoid...

Re: Creator-Owned Titles: Chivalry Bookshelf - Author Settle
Hi Craig! A separated Ringeck translation is certainly possible. I must admit I'd have to steel myself even for that - there's so much I'd have to footnote these days, given our knowledge of the manuscript now. A concordance of the glosses is far less likely though. For one thing 3227a is structured...
