Re: Fine-woven Neck Chainmail
A real challenge indeed! Thank you so much Ernst for the info and added pictures. Am I understanding correctly, that A7 is referring to the bigger rivets, and A9 the smaller?

Fine-woven Neck Chainmail
Does anyone have any idea on the construction of tightly woven neck chainmail, as seen in the picture? I mean regular chainmail is a pain in the ass already... making this must be un-godly.

Re: Compression Articulation Crotch Area
Thanks for all the welcomes!
Well cost won't be a problem as i'm going to make it myself. Brian Price, of Techniques of Medieval Armour Reproduction fame, says that compression articulation is easier to implement then shell.

Re: Compression Articulation Crotch Area
Could you link the photos if it's not too much trouble? It's sad such a beautiful design doesn't get reproduced much because of the cost, but it makes sense.

Compression Articulation Crotch Area
Hey everyone, this is my first post, so I hope i'm not touching on something that's frequently asked. Anyway I was wondering does anyone have any more pictures of this armour, particularly around the waist section? I'm pretty sure it's one of Henry the VIII's sets. And further, why don't many armour...
