Counterfeit "Tinker" swords appearing on eBay

From CAS-Iberia: Counterfeit 'Tinker' branded swords FYI, A customer has alerted us to an eBay seller offering counterfeit 'Tinker' branded swords. These swords are of inferior design and quality and we are doing what we can to remove the listings from eBay and to remind end customers to be sure to ...

Re: Chivalry Bookshelf-Author Resolution,or "Don't Buy My Bo

I don't think it's worth disputing whether or not Scott is tech savvy or not. There are many ways to update a website and alter a domain name. But I will certainly agree that it is in their best interest to distance themselves from Brian Price ASAP, and the fact remains that the domain's contact inf...

Re: Chivalry Bookshelf-Author Resolution,or "Don't Buy My Bo

Wow, thank you so much for following up with this. Of particular interest to me is the state of Revival.us, since I've been telling folks that it's OK to order from there now, and it's useful to hear an update on how that might not be the case. I was very interested in seeing where the chips would f...

Re: Full Metal Jousting

Unless I'm remembering it wrong from the episode, I think the score was sufficiently spread that even without the bogus penalty, it wouldn't have changed the outcome. That still doesn't make it right, or fair. But I'd have been angry if it altered the outcome.

Re: Full Metal Jousting

What I found MORE telling was the entire black team NOT cheering for Mike when he was announced at the joust. It was Crickets. Man, that was cold. If that's the way it actually happened, then I think it's in the realm of being completely juvenile on the black team's part. However, I suspect this wa...

Re: armor on ebay

Wow this sort of thing makes me mad. The auctions looked like they had been taken down, but are back up. In any case, I saved copies of the images for posterity: http://ed.toton.org/photos/2011/stolenarmor/stolen_armor_01.JPG http://ed.toton.org/photos/2011/stolenarmor/stolen_armor_02.JPG http://ed....

That confirms that Brian has been selling them out of order, since I've got one in the mid-400s purchased some years back. Is that accepted practice for numbered limited editions? Mine is also in the mid 400's from several years back. My impression is that it's common practice to sell them in order...

I for one will not be doing any business with CB/revival.us again in the future. Thanks Greg, for keeping us informed and for your very thoughtful and professional approach to this. Both you and CHT have handled this very rationally, and I'm glad to see that the wheels are in motion to find a just r...

And that single reason is why this thread fills me with joy. It is a huge pleasure to see a house cleaning. I am filled with admiration for those who have spoken up here, told a painful truth at personal cost to do the right thing and warn others so that they are not victimized in turn. This is dif...

In a way I'm glad to see this all coming to light. The rabbit hole is far deeper than I initially realized. It only strengthens my resolve to avoid doing business with this false knight.

Heartbreaking really is a good word for this.

3. Sleeves too long ... Item 3. It is going to be tough to get an off the shelf item that is a one size fits all, so we are going for one size fits most. What are your thoughts on this? My opinion here is that most off the shelf gambesons often have sleeves that are too short. They need to be long ...

Gonfalon banner from Dirk & Arrow review

At the end of last week, I received my banner from Dirk & Arrow ( http://dirkandarrow.com/ ). I had sent in an image of my design, photos of my shield, and some high-resolution images from my unique vector drawings. I must say, the banner recreated my designs perfectly, and was exactly what I wanted...

For Pete's sake, N-Bones, the links passing through each other will stop if you butt the link ends facet to facet and not point to point. One accepts a slightly out of round link to achieve this -- just horse one point a trifle in towards the center of the link and grind the ends together. Yeah, I ...

I learned the score and break method that William mentioned, here is a link to a short pictorial lesson. http://www.mailleartisans.org/articles/articledisplay.cgi?key=9334 I may need to try this method. I sell CAS as well. I'll be working at adding the new products to my website when I get finished with the renfaire run I'm doing, so it'll likely be a month before they're on the site. However, I can order them whenever anyone is interested. http://www.necrobones.com/armory/ ------------------ -Bone...
