Re: So who isn't going to Pennsic and why?

My squires want me to go. I have only been to 1 Pennsic, 30. We will see. My world is chaotic. Not as uncertain as my response in this thread 16 years ago...LOL

But more chaotic.

Plastic or spring stainless. I don't fight much but I'd like to do the odd melee without getting my ribs bashed in. Anyone doing them attractively?

Re: Training wheelchair armoured combatants

To give some quick specific advice. We found with Richard that around shield was by far the best. It allowed him to have a lot of mobility with his sword movement. Because the fighter is raising everything to some degree it's very important that they understand good shoulder mechanics to avoid repet...

There are a bunch of threads in the subject, if you search on user Richard GateCrasher and key word wheelchair you will find a lot of useful stuff. He was the best wheelchair fighter I've met or heard of.

Then you better get rid of the chivalry. Oh...Nissan...NO! They don't like being called out like that. But seriously, I'm rolling on the ground right now, my sides splitting from laughter. You have, once again, struck the biggest nail right on its big, pointy head! This shouldn't be encouraged, bec...

Well I PM'd him and he asked me to NOT send payment until he could calculate shipping, and I asked for a detail of the measurements he wanted, and I haven't heard back. At the least it doesn't seem like he was trying to get as much money in deposits as fast as possible, which is good.

Those are nice scooters... I don't think that's under-priced tho. Looking at that pic, it looks like the tank is caved in, the mirror is scratched, the left side panel is missing, there may be damage to the engine casing... IE, it went down on the left side. Do you have more detailed pics of the dam...

i think it's wonderful that the Middle got to be heroes. I think it sucks that I'll bet a BUNCH of folks on the other side, in every scenario, didn't get to fight.

How fun that must be.

I concur that there could be more to the story... but if that were the case, wouldn't it behoove them to tell the larger story? The backlog, as I recall, had the items and it was generally personal use. One item per person in general, sometimes a couple if I'm not mis-recalling.

Allow me to clarify... I buy 200 pieces at a time from Baron Erick. I MAY have something in the 1.75 thickness area, but that's unusually thick for what I buy. I'll look. Pre-paying and setting specific units aside for someone to be delivered at an event is certainly doable for me. I'll measure the ...
