my first lession fighting in the sca ( long time ago just starting as an ep fighter ) ...if it hurts, it's good. i define hurts as anything , including and above , a good stinger. it's worked for me ymmv

if all else fails go ahead and use a 5 gallon water cooler. make a "slip cover"so it will not be so obvious and set it in a back corner of your camp. fill with 2 gallons of filtered water then 3 gallons of ice, top the ice off as needed.

in a res battle a single death(yours) will not make that much of differance,you come right back in to do all that spiffy stuff you ment to do the first time. in non res battles you only get one shot.
some folks can't stand losing thier shot at being spiffy.
