Torvaldr,
I tried emailing you, but did not see a response. Do you still have the splinted kidney belts for sale?

Darkwood Rapier for sale
I have a Darkwood Armory Rapier that I need to sell due to losing my job. My wife no longer plays rapier and it has just been sitting here for a while. It needs some cleaning up, but nothing significant. Was lightly used as it was not my wife's main blade. I see brand new ones going for $300+, but I...

Copper Rivet Usage
Is there anything that can be done with the extra bits that are bent, broken, or snipped off? Can they be melted down for copper or are there too many other metals there? I have a 5 gal bucket almost half full with rivet bits and pieces. I would love to turn it all into something, but am very inexpe...

Gorget Commission
I am looking for someone that can do a gorget to match the leather one that was worn by Kenneth Branagh in Henry V (1989). Must be SCA legal, so obvious height of collar would need changed. I thought of just buying a good brig gorget and adding rivets to it? This one! Price and shipping to 85374 ple...

Just a quick check through a couple of my sources and you should not have a serious issue. But then again that all depends on the college. It certainly is a locative. Being that the city has been around since 100. I would say that it is certainly plausible that someone would take a locative surname....

Only thing I am noticing that I do not want to do is the sewing of the liner TO the helm. I have no intention of drilling tons of holes around my helm to sew it in. Is that the only way to make it stick or will it generally stay in place during SCA combat? I could see velcro working for this possibl...

Helm padding for easy removal???
Ok either my search-fu sucketh mightily or there isnt a thread about it. I have a new bascinet ready to be padded. My problem is that I dont want to permenantly attach the padding to the helm as I want to upgrade to a linen liner at some point. Is there something I can put on the inside of the helm ...

The basic Kiai was something I learned long ago. It does help to focus energy for me. I do get a slight increase in strength. The only problem that I see is that the Kiai needs to be apart of everything you do when fighting. My Sensei always said, "The important thing about the Kiai, is that it shou...

The subject at hand here is not so much what ethnicity or "color" you are. The problem I see is that it would seem that there is an assumption that someone that does not look like a "european" person would automatically choose the ethnic background of their homeland/region. Then is being questioned ...

And I have one of the applique suns that then HRM Mariana Vivia cut from the hem of her dress to hand out to fighters at Estrella a few years ago. It seems like it doesn't matter so much what the doodad is, but rather the giving of it that touches people. I most certainly agree. I have an applique ...
