Re: IWTB an English Man-at-Arms at Agincourt

I suppose we really need to talk about the term "Soldier." The rolls for the 1415 France Canpaign do not use the term "soldier" to depict a "Non-Mat at arms." You have these basic categories: Men at arms Mounted archers Archers There is some crossover of names between the two archers. Archers of cou...

Re: IWTB an English Man-at-Arms at Agincourt

Hi NomadHound, I guess it all depends on what you mean by "Brigandine." If you are talking about the small plates, riveted to a velvet shell? Looking like this? http://manuscriptminiatures.com/media/manuscriptminiatures.com/original/856-3.jpg Because this style comes into play later than Agincourt. ...

Help finding retinue rolls?

Hi all, I'm looking for some help locating retinue rolls for Thomas Chaucer. For the Agincourt campaign. There is debate as to whether or not he actually was at Agincourt, but we know he fielded 12 men at arms and either 30 or 36 archers. (most likely mounted) I'm trying to see if I can learn exactl...

Some photos from the Deed of Arms I ran this past weekend.

Every Friday night of Great North Eastern War in the East Kingdom (Hebron Maine) I run a Deed of Arms. Here are some of the best pictures from it. For those curious, I am in the blue and gold, with the red helmet. http://imgur.com/CKeQ9jt http://imgur.com/GeowNVx http://imgur.com/0AVrAbG http://imgu...

Yes the 45 is with the gambeson on.
I wear a 40R jacket and after I put my gambeson on I'm probably a 43 or 44, there's still plenty of room in the shirt.
I can try to get a picture snapped tonight.
