With a few modifications, I have been using one of your chestplates (in white even) since 2005. It has endured 8 pennsics without issue. My modification was to remove the original rivets and attach leather strips down the inside to make it collapsible more like lorica segmentata.

As the subject states: I have helmets I would like to get the best shipping price on and USPS just told me shipping one on a slow boat is 32.00 and 36ish for priority. UPS doesn't seem any better on the calculator. Is it really that expensive now to ship one? Thanks for your help.

I would also recommend contacting Baron Mors who is currently the Baron of Stierbach in Atlantia. He makes great period crossbows and is a very accomplished archer.

I have purchased SCA related items from this seller before Pennsic. They said they formerly played in the SCA and had recently been in Louisianna until they lost their home. They were liquidating their SCA wares, I am assuming since they are not playing anymore. Hope this helps.
