From the Stonekeep website size F would be for knees that measure 38cm point to point.
Check out the Stonekeep sizing page at http://www.stonekeep.net/elbows.html for more information on how that sizing is determined.

For DVDs NTSC means it will pretty much only work on an American DVD player. 4:3 is also known as "Full Screen" as compared to "Wide Screen". Basically on an older style standard definition TV the picture will fill the entire screen instead of having the black bars on the top and bottom. By contrast...

It depends on how loose the cross is. If it is just a little loose, I just use a nice little rubberized contact cement called "Goop". You should be able to find it at any craft store or hardware store. Get the version in the small purple/blue tube. That is honestly all I use to affix my single hande...

LeeC, I can't look at the site you listed here at work so I don't know how those wasters are constructed. However I can't imagine that any rebated steel would bend much across the edges. Most steel swords are very flexible if pulled towards the flats of the sword but not if pulled towards an edge. W...

Oh, and caution with the throws is a good idea, especially if you will be using Fiore's style. The armor doesn't really do much to prevent dislocated shoulders or destroyed elbows if you take the binds too far and being thrown in armor still hurts. In my WMA class the rule is to reach the point wher...

Ok, while I don't have a huge amount of experience with rebated metal weapons I do have some. First, you will probably need new helmets. SCA eyeslots will not prevent a thrust from a rebated weapon from taking out an eye. I recommend a helm with a perforated faceplate or with eyeslots constructed sp...

how about those windrose hilts? They are tabless. I use those and do not poke holes in them. I simply shim them if they fit loosely and glue them in place with a good rubberized glue like Goop. I find they hold up very well, I have only had to reglue my great-sword once and normally I break the rat...

MarkH, It really sounds like you fight in a manner that is very similar to the teachings of Fiore de Liberi. In fact you mention that you like his Complete Iron Gate stance (Tutta Porta di Ferro). Have you considered looking into the Schola Saint George? It is a WMA group centered around the fightin...

Maces are uncommon now because of a number of factors- 1. The muscle memory of sword work will cause a mace to tear up your elbow. It's not a sword. 2. Very difficult to make a mace that hits right that will pass. 3. Shorter reach. I agree with Sir Vitus but I have found a place for this type of ma...

Pole-Axe shape
Quick question. Does anyone have any good pictures showing various shapes of Pole-Axe / Hammer / Halberd / etc that were used in the late 14th Century (around 1380)?
