Possibly what do you have in mind for trade? What kinds of things are you interested in? Chair? bed ? chest? Multiples of smaller items? I do some leather work, I strike coins.... I make mead..... I do LOTS of things... just not armouring. Where are you? ( shipping a really large item could complic...

Re: new gloves in gauntlets?
Those are time consuming, last set I did I charged $200-$250, lots of rivets to remove and a lot of tedious hand sewing through leather. Make the finger leathers a bit larger than you think they should be it will make sewing easier. Finding a good glove is tricky also as the fingers on it need to b...

new gloves in gauntlets?
34790651_1977813585571724_6476414432980238336_n.jpg I'm looking for someone that can put new leather and new gloves in a pair of gauntlets.... And do a little reshaping and repair to them at the same time. They have been used. First a rough guess on how much, then maybe a rough time frame....? Hope...

Maile in the mid/late 14th century?
I find myself in possession of a short sleeved flat ring riveted maile shirt ( maybe about half sleeved ) I normally do mid/late 14th century English/German. ( trasitional? ) I have not done a lot of research on maile ( not having owned any I didn't need to.... ) Is there a good quick overview onlin...

14th century gluckhaus?
I need a image or at least a description that can be used as documentation
for Gluckhaus in the 14th century.
Does such a thing exist?
Who should I be talking to about it?

Leather crossbow quiver
Anyone have a pattern for a nice but quick quiver that would be appropriate for 14th century?
Time is the issue here. I need to save the patterning time and go straight into making it.

Re: image search help - sausages on crest
I might be remembering wrong but I thought I saw the same 'crest' on a metal helm too. and I have a vague memory of a connection to it being a merchant who was good enough that he got invited to go to the nobles tourneys instead of the merchants version ( I've always thought it like the amateur leag...

I have seen an amusing medieval crest on a helm that I need to find again....
It was three sausages on a spike. It was German....
and I cannot find it and I cannot remember any other details.

It is not so much the car, the camera, the modern chair, the sunglasses, the cooler, the smart phone.... etc. as it is the lack of effort put into trying to hide what can be hidden. We have to have a car to get to the events. Wearing sunglasses is much better for your eyes over the course of your li...

Re: Dice - now with MORE progress pictures
Two points would be easier to make. And would be easier to resharpen. The outer points have to match exactly or you end up with a larger or less well defined ring. As tiny as it needs to be for dice, I would expect two to be a reasonable choice.

You could do it without a drill...

Re: Halfway done making greaves!
I figured 'halfway' meant you were finished screwing up the first four pairs and getting ready to start making mistakes on the fifth. Ouch. Though I can't really say anything. I've tried my hand at 8 pairs. I made a LOT of washers out of those abysmal failures... :( I've just heard they are difficu...
