Re: looking for a square of maille "fabric"

Wedge or pin? Mild or stainless? I have a few bits lying about, might be able to set you up for a reasonable price. My hauberk is mild, pin, so I guess mild would be best. Rus armor seems to me to be very varied, so as long as it sort of blends with the hauberk, the detail of the rivet may not be T...

looking for a square of maille "fabric"

Greetings, I am trying to adapt a hauberk to make it look a bit "Russian" , but without permanent modification. I want to add a few isolated lames to the front. It occurred to me that a simple solution would be to take a 9x9 (more or less) patch of riveted maille and attach the lames to THAT and the...

Re: Looking for some ideas on Persian Helms

Persian in what period? In ancient times actual Persians wore helmets rarely but mostly soft armor, in the same principle as the Sikhs. In later times they were similar to the "Saracen" helmets. I wanna fight... :( So I will be cautious. Right now Aleve is touch and go. It hurts without it, but sometimes it is not enough, and I am smart enough not to overdose on Aleve or Advil. My mobility is unaffected. It just hurts like a Superduke REALLY angry at you is giving you a serious butt wrap ev...

Back injury and fighting question.

Apparently, my old spinal disk injury seems to have returned with a painful vengeance. I had surgery 17 years ago and until recently little or no discomfort. But the radiating back pain has returned. I know the details of the injury well enough to know there is no danger for a very serious injury (a...

Re: Large Round Shields

My large Greek round shield is excellent in Melees, but it sucks in single combat. It gets in the way indeed. Usually I am forced to switch to my 14th century kit for tournament fighting, but I have mulled for a while building an oval Beotian shield to be able to fight tournaments in my Greek kit. G.

While I consider a set of heavier ones.

Does anyone have a set of 14th century lightweight splinted vanbraces? Splints inside rivets outside sort of business.

Thanks,

I have used these with EXCELLENT results to hold a steel pipe center pole firm against the ground and more importantly self supporting.

This allows one man to set up a center pole pavilion with relative ease.

Hi Glaukos At some point, yes, we'll offer hard copy CDs. Until then, the tracks are all in MP3 format. I tried googling "roxio burn mp3s to cd" and there were a lot of entries which might help. As for the instrument, "acoustic guitar" is a non-electric guitar. Wooden, hollow. Thanks! Thanks Eric, ...
