Stay away from this vendor. He disappeared a couple years ago w/out refunding or sending a pair of demi gauntlets I ordered. Lots of gorget makers out there, take your business elsewhere.

Re: Preventing aluminum Shields from bending or warping
I reinforce my upper right corner on my heater as it takes the vast majority of the shots. I take a 6"x6" square piece of material and attach it to give a reinforced corner. That reduces the warpage from the repeated blows and it doesn't weigh down the shield with reinforcement in areas that don't g...

Re: Yet more continuing perspective from another sport.
This post takes me back to Pennsic XX, my first big event, I went with my knight. On the drive he told me a story of another knight he knew that had all of these different shots he would throw but my knight would consistently beat him on the field. After one of these defeats this knight's comment wa...

That's a mail fraud issue. From his zip code you can call the local USPS and figure out your next steps. Keep all your correspondence and hope that he resurfaces. Here's a form that you could fill out and send to the USPS. Good Luck

Be like the TV shows and test using ballistic gel. Slap some animal bones inside and mock up an arm.

Bad shot angle, had he been wearing his helm... LIKE HE IS SUPPOSED TO AFTER LAY ON... that shot would've skipped... go for the temple!
He did get his hips into the shot tho.

Halloween at work. Wearing the full faceplate, would replace with bargrill for most fighting.
Missing for tournament - cased greaves instead of gutter greaves. Missing 'in general' - voiders and sabatons.

Amen. A wise man knows his limitations. I do not have the talent and patience to do what these artisans do. I am thankful they exist to make all of us look better and feel better about our kits.

Even though they're 1/2 way across the world I've done business with a couple of the Ukrainian armorers and haven't had an issue. TBH I've had less issues with them than I have with American folks.

1. What is your current helmet padding setup? Oregon Aero helmet padding - 3/4" option 2. What have you used previously? Open and closed cell foam 3. What do you as a fighter feel is best? For someone who isn't instructed to 'not take boxing level hits to the head' I think closed cell is fine. 4. Ha...

As a non-expert it would make sense that an expensive piece of metal in a high-humidity area would be covered as a rust-prevention idea.

How did this drama get into an Anshelm thread? Isn't there a separate thread for this drama? You two should go to your own thread or PMs or something, stop hijacking other threads with unrelated issues.
