Re: What's your favorite fighting video?
I dunno, I am kind of fond of the video of Duke Ebonwolfe tooling that dude in the head.   The version with the slo-mo, and the paddy-punk soundtrack kinda rocks. That will always be my favorite SCA video. for those who haven't seen it, and those that just need a giggle....

Re: Mandrake Tips on Fiberglass Spears Illegal in Aethelmear
Unmitigated risk aversion is the new Puritanism; complete with witch hunts funny outfits and humorless preachers thundering doom. The Deity is Safety; Satan is a Lawyer; but the object is the same: to suck the fun out of life and tell you how to live it.

Re: A Fine Helm for Sale!
cmon dudes, to put all that work into a helm and then go and flatten all the rivet heads? You may like flat rivets, but not this guy. riveting 101 says you don't flatten rivets. Also why is the face not attached inside the brow of the helm? The repouse work is beautiful in the ridicules extremities ...

Re: [Question] What goes beneath the knee?
I lost my bulwarks after one or another battle at pennsic some 8 or nine years ago. I ended up using a pair of wool chauses from HE that I had literally walked the feet off. best knee padding evah! I still use em. same pair of old chauses.

Re: Flying with your gear? Looking for advice.
Been flying back to Pennsic since 09 now, and have flown my CoTT kit with me each time. I keep a couple other rigs in storage in Ohio too so I don't have to drag along spears and other weapons. Much of what has already been posted is good stuff so I'll just shorthand how I do it. Get to the airport ...
