Wool/linen for sale on line?

Evidently it appears to be a seasonal sales thing here in rkansas, you can't buy wool or linen fabric except at certain times of the year. I guess I missed the linen time frame (Easterish) and wool season has not started yet. Anybody got any sites they recommend for a person to get some decent fabri...

I don't think I have ever not accepted a blow by saying it was tippy. However I have told several of my opponents not to take a shot I threw for that reason.

To me tippy always meant a blow skipped of the top or side of the helm without any signicant power attached.

Shiny? Satin? or Dull?

What kind of finish do you like/hate to see when someone is wearing lots o' plate?

I'm working on my latest kit (gothic inspired)and was thinking about foregoing my usual mirror shine finish for something more 3M pad scrubbed looking.

Any opinions?

Say good or fall down.

Except in the case of a newbie who might still be working on some acknowlegement/calibration issues.

Your really going to be better off getting someone to to weld the helm halves together than riviting it. I got it done for a 12 pack of beer.

Not bad! What size chisel or stake are you using to do the fluting? It looks like your using one maybe .5" to 1" wide in some of the pics. Does it have a 90 degree face or slightly rounded edge? Just wondering because you can see the end points (the littlebumps) when you follow the fluting lines. If...

I made a mini pavillion out of some fairly loose weave canvas I got for a buck a yard.
I got the cheapo silcon spray in the sporting department of walmart and sprayed the heck out of the top and sides. It seemed to work really well, it kept things dry during the monsoons at Gulf Wars this year.

I punch a hole in the glove and use a mail ring through a corresponding whole in the gaunt. Lasts forever if you curl the ring until the ends overlap each other by half the circumfrence of the ring.

One way to do it is a simple cop with leather lames riveted on to both sides. Add metal reinforcement bits on top of the leather about .25 to .5 inch from the cop edges and you have simple articulated cops that protect.
