though i've never welded armour, i vote for the stick. just us i have welded 16 gauge mild with axy acetaline, and boy was it a pain in the arse. though the oxy rig could be used for more things... limited hotwork....ooooh..... ideas..... damnit, i guess i didnt help much there did i? --------------...

Book marks? 1- 1.2 mm thick is prety thin, the aluminum i;ve used armour wise is 1/8" so thats what...( i live in BC, ya think i'd know meteric eh?) anyways, about 5 mm i think. at that thicknes si find it acts pretty close to 16 gauge steel. so at 1- 1.2mm i'd imagin it would crumple. before doing ...
