I am curious about this d30 stuff as a low profile armour. Trouble is, it is pretty expensive, though I heard a rumor the cost of a shirt may go down to $150 from $250 I don't know about the costs coming down. I contacted d30 about a year ago and they indicated that they considered SCA a niche mark...

Isn't this stuff designed for one impact, then to be thrown away? I don't think it is designed for sustained use. Does anyone have any experience with it? Motorcycle helmets are designed to be crashed in once and then retired. The body armor and crash suits should be fine for re-use unless there is...
