Re: XL Klapvisor (25" head) - free shipping - Back for Sale

OK, I understand. It's just that in mild steel, 12 is doable, 14 is worrisome. Thanks.

ETA: It it's ACTUALLY 14 in places, that's one thing, it's just that if you start with 14, it starts becoming 16 in places, or worse.

Since Aethelmearc is being invaded on both fronts, do we get to line up on both sides with Aethelmearc in the middle?

OT-Warhammer

I'm thinking about getting into Warhammer. Anybody looking to get rid of anything?

I'm particularly interested in Dwarves, but also in the Empire or anything that's a particularly good deal.

Thanks.

I'm thinking about an onion top bascinet with an exchangeable grill between bargrill and perf plate klappvisor. I would want it in 12 gauge mild, and I would blacken it myself, so no paint or nice finish would be necessary. What would the cost be?

The one he wears around his neck would probably be made of cast links. It would be very nice, blown up you can see the detail- they aren't plain rings. Yeah, I was wondering if anyone had seen one like this before, or knew how many different ring shapes there are. Because I'm not sure if it's a tri...

Re: Chain Necklace

The IMage you link is specifically a collar of SS, which was commonplace in the reign of Henry IV forward, as a symbol of allegiance to the house of Lancaster. Several British makers make ones in pewter, if you specifically want a collar of SS's. I'm referring to the chain around his neck, not the ...

m Does anyone make anything like this? Or if not, does anyone have any insight into how it was made so that I could reproduce it? I'm looking for a more period version of the SCAdian chain. This looks perfect, but since I don't do jewelery, I wonder if anyone makes it, or has a better idea than I ho...

That type of garment is VERY thin in the ground before the year 1400. If that date is important to you as a cutoff, I would avoid that type of garment. But, if I could be permitted a generalization, the main changes to the harness of the armored man in the first decade of the 15th century are change...

What's going to be pointed to it determines if there's a viable market, I think. My lady made me one like Jeff has (based on the pictures I got from you, by the way, I don't know if I thanked you) and the fit is pretty finnickey because I point my legs off of it. I will be at Christmas Tourney. If someone wishes to buy this, and all parties agree, I will take it and arrange further delivery by post or otherwise. I would expect actual shipping in return, but I have to believe it would be a fraction of shipping from America's hat.

Luca- You get major cool points for wearing a hat and pattens. I've struggled with hemlines too. It looks to me like you've got a 15th century hem line with 14th century braies and chauses. You typically don't see the braies hanging out so much. Sure, if someone's hanging from the gallows, knocked ...

I was Lucius Marius Scaevola. I found that being a classical Roman, a period of history that continues to fascinate me, didn't fit with what I wanted to do in the SCA. So now I'm Luca Sogliano. I still get called Lucius occasionally, but that doesn't bother me at all. We have a duke in our kingdom w...

Luca, A loan is an agreement involving interest, which in no way applies here. This is simply a case of delayed shipment without proper contact. Or, it will be until Md02geist hears otherwise from Ulfr, one way or the other. No. It's not "delayed shipment" until he sends it. Until then it...

It's been two months. At the very least, Ulfr has been floated a free loan for that time. That assumes that Ulfr ships it today, which is...unlikely. So to make Ulfr not a thief, he should have to pay for that loan, on top of the sword, agreed to be worth $120. Now, Ulfr doesn't make his location en...
