Hmm, I will have to see about corn. You would think living in Kansas, corn would be easy to come by, but I have found it....Oddly expensive.... Thank you all for the info though.

Neighbors is not a problem, I live in the middle of nowhere. Also, I actuall have someone who knows quite a bit on forging from working the railroad industry from small daggers to massive swords, so that much I'm ok with. Thank you, you have all been helpfull. I have always heard charcoal is something to steer away from when making a forge, but if it works, hey, more money in meh pocket.

Forging

I have nearly all materials it would take to build a forge, but I would need to know where a good place, via internet or even locally if anyone should know someone in Pittsburg Kansas, as to where to get coal or some sort of meterial to be able to burn for heat in forging armour and weapons.
