Just don't be an asshole. If you carry yourself like a fighter and don't ask for special treatment because you're a woman then no one will even bat an eye at you being in armour.

I was thinking about either leg wrappings if I can find documentation for them (but I think my persona is a little late for 'em) or early gutter greaves to cover up the baggy pants look. Still haven't entirely fleshed out the exact time frame of my persona, just the location (acre) so need to do mor...

Found a better picture of my kit to show off. Like I said previously, still needs alot of work done. I have a new kettle helm that I have to strap and pad yet that will make that part more period. I also have a new hospitaller habit being made that will help out since the tunic I wear now is kind of...

I may be just missing it but what are the plates made from? Also while it's all spread out can you measure what you have to see if the amount of plates will work for what I need? Sam is busy so stepping in to help out again. They're made out of stainless. The assembled part is 43" long by 12 1...

17 years of hockey here (granted as a goalie but still), 5 years of boxing, and wrestling also.

I've heard the comment before that I tend to use the body a bit more on close in fighting than some so maybe your theory is sound.

I enjoy the hell out of axe fighting, and use my two handed axe almost exclusively in melees. Can't get on the front lines with it (5' just isn't enough to be effective there), but you can wreck havoc with it on anyone that breaks through your lines.

I once saw a so called knight of a northern kingdom lose his temper and punch a friend of mine in the grill of his helm multiple times. I did nothing, and still regret it. What happened because of it? My friend almost quit the sca after over 10 years of playing. The pathetic example of a knight that...

If they're a mass weapon, yes. If they are a single handed axe, no.
