Re: Icefalcon - Steel Mastery - Armstreet

Well, guys.. We did have problems back then (mostly with the delivery in time), but we have really improved recently. I dare to say there were no troubles during the last year (if someone is willing to contradict, then speak!). Our general rule now is to declare required manufacturing to the client...

Re: Critique My SCA Kit

thanks Oswyn, the metal bit sare all heat blued or brass. im really not too much into the shiny steel look so much.
as for the straps i could see shortening the top straps a bit. they do have a v end to them though i think its just the angles and distance make it hard to see it.

ok ill take a turn, please keep all comments serious, no matter how many times it is requested i will not put more nickels on it. i have finger gauntlets that match just not in the picture. when i began putting this kit together i really did not have a definitive period in mind. so please fire away.

icefalcon.
his customer service is beyond reproach.
steel mastery has had serious issues with quality and consistancy as well as spotty business practices in the past.(cant speak for more recently)

Re: Zoombang question

I HIGHLY recommend Icefalcon's lightweight arming cotes. They are warm enough to fight when it is in the 30s cool enough to fight when it is in the upper 80's and they look good too. You might also try Gambesons.com and I hear Revival.us is under new management they have a similar product to Icefal...

what exactly are you looking for? some armorers are better at certain things.
maybe we can help direct you to someone who can fill your particular needs.
price range would also be helpful.

Re: Steel Mastery Reviews for SCA grade equipment?

yeah honestly after much experience i would pass on steel mastery and go with a more reputable armorer. check into shamrock armory or icefalcon, or any other myriad of armories out there that have spent tons of time intentionally building their reputations.

Re: Steel Mastery Reviews for SCA grade equipment?

ive had numerous transactions with steel mastery.
it is very spotty at best.
out of 5-6 transactions maybe 2 were easy and correct. 1 big order was made wrong(left out options that i paid extra for) and offered no recompense. all i got was a opps sorry. no refunds.

ok, this is me. not nearly as nice as many of the kits above but i like it. it took a few years for me to put this kit together, it started out with the helm in the first pic. i had saved enough money to have a helm made and got this one from steel mastery before they went down hill. i was going for...
