i dissagree with the low budget = plastic comment. if you take your time and shop around you can put together a good kit for low cost without resorting to plastic. cheap cops are available from stonekeep (very cheap in fact) a sheet of aluminium you can get for 50 bucks and cut out plates for a coat...

no, im already having one made. im having a cup hilt made more to the size of my hand that will cover what i need covered while leaving space for maneuvering the hand without impediment. i dont like the tendancy toward the large back plate so to speak, or the bars or whatever. i know they are there ...

has anybody had a custom basket or cup hilt made?
im having one done which should be finished soon and was wondering if anyone else has gone this route.
i know its a more expensive option but i wanted something a little nicer than the in stock items most people stock.

ive seen it done,
as long as the bevor comes up high enough and the sallet goes low enough that no gaps open up when the head is tilted you would be fine.
