also, i have recently been inducted into the sca realm, with that what persona does this fall in. i've heard oriental and mabye persian. can any one give me an idea where or when this kind of armour could hail from?

Stanless banded maille, Ideas?
I have decided to construct a hauberk in a "banded" design. But instead of using wool i want to use stainless spring steel. Wondering if anyone has tried it, or if any other ideas spring from this one.
