not to be mean, but at that price range, you'd be more likely to find finger gauntlets that are out-sourced and mass produced.... so the quality would be poor at best... I speak from experience of making finger gauntlets.... you'd better luck finding clamshells in that range....
good luck!

question about Dane Axes
Does anyone here know where I can find a decent looking Dane Ax (with or without the haft) that isn't going to cost me an arm, leg, and a good goat! Looking to spend about $100-150 tops... Birthday is coming up and I'm missing that for ceremonies and such... Can't rightly represent Norse Varangian w...

It helps if you take your rattan sword (after all shaping and before edging and any taping) and soak some epoxy in the place where the handle meets the blade , which will eventually be covered by the crossguard. After it dries just sand it a bit. This does not stiffen any part of the blade, but mak...

review of Master Eirik/ Munition Grade Arms
So to give you a little background to this story... Eirik was running a "pre-war sale" just before Gulf Wars... which I jumped on... At the last minute, it turned out we couldn't go. So, I made arrangements with Eirik that a friend of mine pick up my rattan and bring it back home... Long story short...

another challenge in the shop...
So... after a bit of knocking out a lot of different projects for different people, I decided to start on the 14th Cent. kit I've been thinking about... And I figured since I had Kenwrec in the shop with me, I'd get him to motivate me in the direction... We both agreed that what better way to get it...

Re: Shaved Rattan Help
I never personally tried this, but one of my buddies told me that you can soak the rattan, stick it in a length of schedule 40 pvc, and let it dry to straighten rattan... Don't know if it actually works... Sounds good in theory and I'm sure the pvc would have to be close to same size of the rattan...
