Re: FS knee cops/big elbow cops
Nope...i just drew up a pattern and ended up drawing it too big. These could probably work for elbow cops on Jon.
and the chain deal...well it was in the floorboard of his car....accidentally dropped it while changing cloths. :/

FS knee cops/big elbow cops
So whipped out a pattern for some elbow cops the other day and unfortunately i made it too big. They are large enough to be knee cops on me. Oops. they measure about 5" deep, 6" between the points of the cops, and 6" from top to bottom. They are hand stitched, double layer of saddle skirting, that h...

Ah...well I was wondering because he person selling them said that he told her that people knew him as Fluffy. I have only ever heard one person called fluffy and was wondering if it was Duke Sir Kane.

Re: any new guys looking for arm protection?
I just spoke with the guy that made these. THEY ARE VERY OLD!!! I am SURE the leather is a rock by now since they were made in the late 80-early 90's however the cops may be salvagable. This is what he told me: Yes they are, those are some of the first types I made. The finger pocket on those are t...

any new guys looking for arm protection?
So i was lurking around on ebay today and ran across these. I messaged the seller to let them know what exactly they had, and thought some new guy might be interested, or someone looking for some cheap loaner gear.

In truth, I wish everyone would just stop with the SOCIETY GOVERNING DOCUMENTS SAY PRE-17TH CENTURY crap... You're missing the point of the SCA.... we're a themed party... Shame on a kingdom for accepting something that is a little past period?
but hey, no problem with plastic cup hilts, borderline fantasy armor (in some aspects), or blazon use of tennis shoes and cleats as fighting footwear. Lol

Well. There are also accounts of plague dr's being abducted and held for ransom. You would think with these types of things happening, some dr's (lose term seeing as quite a few plague drs were not drs at all) would take protective measures against such unsavory individuals.

Well not necessarily made for fighting, but it covers the anachronism (fencing mask) pretty well in my opinion. And who is to say a plague dr didnt get caught up in a fight at some point?

Ok so my mother is a not an SCA person per say, but she seems to like some of the aspects of the game. She has sent these home with me to see if i could sell them here on the AA ...
