It could very easily be list legal. Brass is more rigid than heavy leather which satisfies the standards for most areas. Well, yes, except for the helm. And that is to say, you COULD make a helm out of brass, but it would be so god aweful heavy you wouldn't want to use it. Same for the rest, unless...

I'd also suggest alchem. One of the local Dons holds them in very high regard, and I plan to pick one up since I'll be fighting rapier for a couple months after my (left) wrist surgery I had to threaten Alchem with a lawsuit to get my dagger from them that I ordered. The only way I will buy from th...

Chris, your kit rocks! Thanks, it still needs a lot of work, I want to try to get a bit less generic 14th century, I need to do some research to try to add some English flavor to it (beyond the ST George pin on the purse) and I want to make it look more appropriate for the last 1/4 of that century ...

And you can prolly find someone to either teach you to sew or do some sewing for you (for barter). If you have a skill (metal or wood working for example), use it to make something they like. If you don't have a skill (something few people can claim), mow their lawn, or something similar. Adeliz, t...

Especially complaining about shoes because any reasonable period shoes are difficult to make yourself and tend to be really expensive. When you think about the shear number of items you need for an event to be period you have to start somewhere and there is going to be a long list of things you can...

Hello, Here is where I purchased mine: http://www.finditarmory.com I have had shirts by all the various manufacturers at some point. This imported Eurotrash from the Ucrane. Many of you think this is a great thing, but you are not thinking past the end of your pig nose. Sure it is stupid cheep, so cheep it makes me wonder about the fucktard making it, and some of it is not bad looking stuff, from a distance. Most of it that I ha...

if its a major issue like say an armorer who disappeared after taking peoples $ and then reappears trying to sell stuff or if an armorer's products are crap, ie unsafe/unsuitable for use, or they take 2-3x as long to deliver stuff as they claim, or they have horrible customer service and wont fix pr...

I don't know the precise objection, and I'm not a marshal. In my kingdom (Atlantia), the shirts can be worn as garb, but not as legal rapier armor. Only speculation, but I'm thinking it's for the same reason a mail gorget wouldn't fly: They are looking for some protection against impact as well as ...
