I hope it not to far off, for I, the KBA, and the town of Vinegrove and who else, will have a Armour-in / Blacksmiths conference and town fall festival for the fall of 2005. The KBA won't vote for this until the ABANA conference this week end is done, and then the ground work will be placed. But the...

The Andy Ward pattern is a mild variant of this one, except he rounded the tip, and the baseof the hand cutting off the rivet placement with removing the wrist plate, and adding leather in replacement of the wrist plate.
You should be able to figut it out from here.

Stop those ringing helms!! (INTERESTED?)
Well I'm letting go another secret, the buzz plate. In the earlier days to stop ringing in a helm we would put a strip of steel inside of the helm with 3 slightly loose rivets, to counter the vibrations of the helm. Justin Andrews Yes you would want to do the sabatons first, and you want your greeves to fit as close as possible the the shape of the leg. I did the upper legs first and the sabatons second then I did the greeves. These legs are being used to fight in, so they were attached with copper rivets for f...

I have finished what I had to do, now it is Mike Nagy's turn.
Mike will do who knows what type of brass work on these, but I'm interested to see what.

The thrill of each and every hit with the hammer, making the metal move to your will, to corress the metal after smoothing and polishing, then and then the assembling of the armour. OH OH, I think I need a smoke. OK the makin...
