Depression! No two people are alike. You have to figure out what the cause is and go from there. It can be a real problem or as simple as not getting laid enough. The people around you can bring you up, or put you down. So hang around the people that make you feel better, and PRAY! that its not a re...

Greetings The pattern. Mentally devide the cop section into 3rds, your hammer location is in the middle third ( stay away from the ends except to smooth) .You need to hammer from the edge to the center, making sure you have a very strong curve on the edge before working your way in, and repeat until...

Just dealing with old habits. Alot of us armourers from the late 80's put fllutes down the middle of the elbows, it being a dish cop but mostly the welded cops. What I'm doing is bringing to light, to see if there is any reason for what we done, or if I will still do it if someone ask me to. AB Hammer

? Wedge flutes on elbows ?

Does any body have any proof, of wedge type flutes, on articulated elbows in history? If so please tell me where. For I don't think I can ever put one on another elbow ever again, unless I can find proof. That would be on the cop similar to the knees with the center flute. I'm looking for elbows lik...

My son has been talking about this thread.

I told him that the rivets and the strapping should be sold as a seperate kit. Simply because, some people have sorces already for different rivets and buckles, as they want.

Each have there place. I myself like working mild, but stainless gives me more of a challenge, to see if I can do in stainless what I can do in regular steel. and now I'm starting to work with spring steel.

Those are some good size triangular rolls on Clang chest plate, bexter12.

In this case you would have to step it, I myself was referring to the smaller ones. I some times put them on the wrist of Bazubons and other Islamic armour.

Just role like you would normaly do. Then take it to the edge of the anvil and hammer from the back side to make your first flat edge. Then hammer the outer role side inward to finish your Triangle effect.

It is truly best shown how to do the trick.

White Mountain Armoury---You stated (People make them like that because its the shape of thier dish.) Thats not totaly true, the other reason is less catch surface. If you hit a Square it catches, you hit a convex curved surface it glances off. The nature of SCA battle has made it practical. I my se...

You can do it a couple of ways.

The pins, or you can put a hinge on one side and a strap on the other.
over all just make sure the connectors are where you want them.

It adds more strength and controllability.
In blunt terms, it's a mild sirup at this time, but dosn't become stickie.

Do the test water only and the sugar mix, and see which one does better for you.

Sugar water

1. 1 cup sugar to 1 1/2 gal of water.
2. Bring to boil.
3. The amount of time will determine how hard.
4. Let dry then soak in wax. (heat gun works great)
Caution! too long makes it brittle and shrink.

It will take some experiments to get it wright.

Here is the whole suite that he wanted, as he said, just the way he wanted.

This is the day he picked it up (a couple years ago), so he was wearing his mundains underneath. As for his cod peace, he said that was his to build.
