Ok let me see if I have this right, you have two bows both D shaped made of a single piece of wood. You are calling a 6' or height of the shooter bow a longbow. If a bow is the same except a foot shorter with a slightly shorter draw is a short bow?

You might consider using some sort of media selling website for this, especially as you might get bites from people not here. There are sites that do MP3s and there are sites that you could sell it as data CDs or audio CDs.

Evidence always trumps supposition. I'd have to hunt down the references but there have been a couple pre-1300 bows that have been discovered that might give an indication of their original length. Another avenue might be arrowheads. Apparently atleast modern arrowshafts are spined to match the draw...
