Something to consider, what if you limited visible pieces of plastic to black or earth tones and no larger than 3x3 inches? This allows the overlapping coats of plates and japanese lamellar, but gets rid of the pseudo-plate plastic?

Looking for helm patterns-Saracen/Norman

I'm looking for some conical spangen patterns or possibley a good norman style. The idea is to go for an Outremere style of mixed norman and saracen. Greetings,

One wonders why, if somone is willing to go to the trouble to build plastic legs, then paint or cover them, or make a pair of pants, why they didn't just make steel legs? Scrap steel costs nearly nothing and the amount of work is about the same. I've built both.
