Lynxicanus has a forge. If you PM him he may be able to help you. I will ask him to look at this message.

Thanks a lot! That was very helpful! I have seen a video of the re-enactment of it but never any photos really. I have always been interested in this battle as my family was there in 1410 fighting against the Teutonic knights. Thanks again!

Battle of Grunwald/Tannenberg

I am looking for information on the Battle of Grunwald 1410 and was wondering if anyone out there knew of any good (english) websites on it. Also, I am looking for pictures from the re-enactment of it. I have only found one website so far. Thanx!

Looking for a book...

The title is: Le armature di S.Maria delle Grazie di Curtatone di Mantova e l'armatura lombarda del '400 By Lionello G. Boccia I kn...

Tablet Weaving...

I am interested in learning how to tablet weave (mostly to trim medieval garments). I have looked at some web sites but they don't really have any useful directions that allow one to get started and visualise how the process works. Does anyone out there have any helpful hints/suggestions or resource...

Hmmm......all these costs people are listing made me realise just how much I've spent! It really does all add up. I've made my own chain maille and shield but I did buy by shoes, gambeson, and sword. For my kit: Helmet: $300 Maille: $75 (inlcudes hauberk, leggings, and coif) Gambeson & Arming Cap: $...

WOW! You all have some really beautiful horses and kit! How I envy you! I have about 8 years of riding experience. 90% of which is english riding (mainly show jumping). I'd have to say my favourite horses to ride have been Arabians, Trakehners, and Thoroughbreds. I unfortunately had to stop riding a...
